THE SAT
Duration: 10 Lessons x 1½ each per term.

The SAT is made up of three required sections and one optional section. The entire exam takes three hours and 50 minutes with the essay and just three hours without the essay. I will help prepare you and develop the necessary skills you need to ultimately get into a recognised university
Reading:
65 minutes for 52 questions (about one minute and 15 seconds per question)
5 passages; 10-12 questions per passage: one US World Literature, two Science, two History/Social Studies
Determining the meaning of words in context, figuring out main ideas, comparing passages, or figuring out why an author included certain details.
Analysing passages based on evidence and interpreting data
Writing and Language:
35 minutes for 44 questions (about 48 seconds per question)
4 passages, 11 questions: Social Studies, Humanities, Careers and Science
All non-fiction, argument-based or explanatory
Logic, grammar rules in context, style, and word choice.
Essay:
Optional (sort of, almost all schools require it)
50 minutes for one prompt
One passage written by someone who is taking a stance on an issue
Analyse how the author builds his or her argument through evidence, style, and structure.
