MISSION STATEMENT:
JUNIOR SCHOOL:
My vision at MasterEnglish is primarily to improve the ability of young learners to read, write and speak fluently and understand English in its various forms, to empower students, to develop confidence, and ultimately to improve skills that will support them in their future studies and chosen careers. A priority is to improve literature and formal essay writing skills and to develop comprehension and understanding of written texts.
An immediate and measurable undertaking is also to improve school results, and to this extent I have a comprehensive, effective, differentiated, in-depth and cohesive learning programme aligned to year level content and achievement standards informed by the New Zealand curriculum. I want to challenge, extend and accelerate developing skills.
SENIOR SCHOOL:
For CIE, NCEA and IB pathways, my focus is to enable students to write high-scoring essays, well-structured, insightful and supported, as well as imparting comprehensive content with regards to the various texts being studied. My goal is to get them the top scores needed for admission into the world’s most recognised and sought-after universities, and to qualify for entry into the medical, engineering, scientific, commercial and legal areas of study, amongst others.
